Birkat Yosef Yeshiva

The Birkat Yosef Hesder Yeshiva is a 5-year program of Torah study, which is fully approved and supported by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). The Beit Midrash strongly supports a dual commitment and a balance between devotion to Torah and duty to the defense of our homeland.

The Hesder Program integrates military service with Talmudic study, helps prepare the students for the challenges and responsibilities of military life and allows our students to perform their army service in all of the IDF's most demanding combat units.

As of September 2007, the Yeshiva caters to 230 students, including those attending the program at Yeshivat Har Shalom.
