Religious Learning / Education go hand in hand with Israel

Bimad- The Beit Midrash of Elon Moreh

BIMAD-Beit Midrash at Elon Moreh

Beit Midrash Rabbinic and Pedagogic Seminary

The Beit Midrash Rabbinic and Pedagogic Seminary is the "crown jewel" of a very intensive curriculum of Torah studies, designed to prepare rabbis and teachers for service in communal and educational frameworks, with the sensitivity and the sensibility to properly provide leadership to the Jewish people.

The Beit Midrash offers a multi-year program of intensive Torah studies, as well as professional training leading to Smicha in rabbinics and a Teaching Certificate.

As of September 2007, almost 60 married Torah scholars are affiliated with this program.

Our students integrate their study program with a rigorous work commitment within our various institutions, thus transforming their learning into practice. Our graduates go on to assume leadership positions throughout Israel and the Jewish world, invigorating others with the devotion and compassion they have acquired. More than 100 rabbis and teachers have graduated since the program was established.

The Beit Midrash of Elon Moreh

The Beit Midrash of Elon Moreh is an institute of higher Torah education. It was established in 1980 to train a new generation of rabbinic leaders who are both devoted to Torah ideals and values, and also imbued with real sensitivity to the pluralistic nature of Israeli society. The Beit Midrash is committed to the unity of the Jewish people, adherence to Torah and steadfast devotion to the Land of Israel.

The rebirth of the Jewish community on the hallowed grounds of Elon Moreh, where Abraham first received the Lord's promise to grant his descendents the Land of Israel, stands witness to the tenacious determination of a devout community to remain loyal to the three strands of Jewish identity: the Torah, the Land and the People of Israel.

Over the years, the Beit Midrash has developed into a multi-faceted Educational Center, comprising varied institutions, all of which help shape and improve Israeli society, through programs designed to bridge the gap between its various segments. Under the leadership of Rabbi Elyakim Levanon, the Beit Midrash has initiated several innovative educational programs, which have put the principles of Torah to practical use.
